As most all of you know by now Gabriella and I are now parents.
So with that in mind can you guess all the various pet names we've used for her so far? I'll start you out with an obvious one, "sweetie." Let's see if you know us well enough to know what we've called our child so far (and yes I know I've opened myself up for wise ass comments as well). Have fun!

Re: Pet names for babies. A quiz for the unknowing.
Tue, June 10, 2008 - 7:33 PMWell, in my head I have been calling her Lindy. I shall try to think of something cute, yet disgusting at the same time.

Re: Pet names for babies. A quiz for the unknowing.
Wed, June 11, 2008 - 12:07 AMWell, we call ours BEA based on her initials and the fact that both of her Grandmothers share her same first name (as well as other members of our family). This has led to Bumble BEA. And I generally call her "BB".
However, now that she is old enough to show a preference, she has dubbed herself "Baby Dinosaur" (and Amy and I "Mommy and Daddy Dinosaur"). I can't really argue with that.

Re: Pet names for babies. A quiz for the unknowing.
Wed, June 11, 2008 - 12:44 AMI'm thinking you've called her "Poppet" at least twice a day...
My daughter has MANY nicknames. Chula (spanish for Cute), which led to Chula Lula, Chu, Lula, Lula Belle, Lu, (when she couldn't say Lula) she called herself Yuya. And more recently she's been called "The Giggler". -

Re: Pet names for babies. A quiz for the unknowing.
Thu, June 19, 2008 - 7:00 PMLOL cutsey names .... after a while those names wear off and get old. You start with names like:
Carpet Critter
Linoleum LIzzard
Curtian Climber
Rumble Butt
Cheese Toes
Babble Babby
glazed donut nose
grumpy butt
snarly puss
Then again for those of you that have met my kids you can probably understand where I came up with those names.
Rumble butt, by the way, was coined for Mary. She has this thing when she gets in the car. I think the motor relaxes her. She now has an indian name: Farts in the Car.
She'll be pleased that I shared that story.

Re: Pet names for babies. A quiz for the unknowing.
Mon, July 14, 2008 - 4:03 PMI call Lynda "Pinky" because that's what she is. Baby rodents (Daddy Ratbag) are called pinkies - I got it from Eric & it works. And she's a girl... So that's even better!!! -
-
Re: Pet names for babies. A quiz for the unknowing.
Mon, July 14, 2008 - 7:09 PMI vote for Andrea's pet name. Pinky is way cool and we can buy her a little pink satin jacket and when she grows up, she can be a bad girl and cut school, smoke and hang out with Kinecki!!! ROFL
I do like that pet name though -

Tue, July 15, 2008 - 9:42 AMSo if Daddy is Ratbag and Lynda is "Pinky" does that make me "The Brain"? I can live with that. -

Wed, July 16, 2008 - 7:27 AMTo qoute Cassius Clay, "I coulda beat him (them all) Howard, but they seemed to come at me den fade away.... "
Davey you're right I did open myself up.
AND EVERYBODY IS TAKEN THEIR SHOTS.
Vengence shall be mine!!!! (psst Lynda remember that spit up trick I showed you?)
Having a baby is great nothing like having one's own living breathing projectile weaapon. Shake well, point toward enemy, and squeeze. -

Re: Pet names for babies. A quiz for the unknowing.
Wed, July 16, 2008 - 11:44 PMYou would LOVE that routine by Jeff Foxworthy about babies being allergic to the smell of a clean shirt. And that he liked to shake his baby daughter up & hand her to people he didn't like...
As a mom of 4; spit up, poopy (explosive) diapers, & projectile vomiting doesn't scare me. Bring it on!!!
